A Ritz-roaring Affair

Some of you may remember me writing about this event last year. I had an amazing night, and an even better one this time around. Networking is less of a daunting task nowadays - in fact, I love it.

The team invited their top golfing clients to the Ritz Club Casino to celebrate the launch of our new hospitality packages at the Open; and to view our sexy new video!

We all arrived early to set-up and had an hour to kill before guests arrived. We decided to take our nice man from the R&A out for something to eat, when we got a call from Darren to say that guests were sooo keen that they had arrived 45 minutes early! I sacrificed my glass of wine to come back and rescue Darren - but he was in his element chatting away, the little charmer.

Everyone had dressed up for the occasion and a lot of my female clients put me to shame in their colourful dresses and killer heels. The men were a dashing sight in their suits and I think Stuart would want me to mention that he was wearing Hugo Boss.

Matt Dawson is our new ambassador for Sodexo, and we had a little tussle at reception as I tried to make him wear his name badge. As you can imagine, I won .... Our own ex-rugby player, David Maccallum entertained the crowd, painting a picture of Royal St George's and our exciting new hospitality options. We also heard from Kent County Council about the impact of the Open on the area, and from the lovely Michael Wells of the R&A on the dramatic changes the hospitality has undergone since Prestige begain operating the contract, and his pride in the event.

The after-party was nearby at the glamorous Mahiki, courtesy of our friends at Innerplace. Sadly dear readers, I did not attend as I had a big meeting the next morning so I can't give you the gossip. The boys went and represented in my place and I hear they did a great job ...
